Day 49: Fort McHenry and Washington D.C.

I started the day in Baltimore and decided to go see Fort McHenry, which is most notably known as the birthplace of the Star Spangled Banner (National Anthem). The history of the anthem was surprisingly interesting, especially since there was a lot of resistance to it becoming the national anthem.

Afterwards I made my way down to Washington D.C. where my old college friend from California, Anne, just happened to also be in town with nothing planned. We spent the day together exploring the city, seeing a bunch of monuments and hitting a couple Smithsonian Museums.
